  • Andy Hamilton

If there is one player in the world of darts who epitomises the blood, sweat and tears attitude to get to the top of the sport, it is Andy Hamilton.

His rewards have come from sheer hard work, effort, pain and practice and there is nobody who would begrudge ‘The Hammer’ the success that he is now enjoying.

It has been a real struggle at times, and at other times, there were even thoughts of quitting as a full-time darts professional, but those dark days are now very in the past.

And of course, the ultimate reward came in January 2012 when Hamilton came within touching distance of being crowned World Champion.

  • Gary Anderson

Gary Anderson is quite simply one of the most naturally gifted darts stars of the modern era.

A World Champion in waiting and many believe that he has the ability to dominate the sport over the next decade.

And a deserved first PDC TV ‘Major’ wasn’t long in coming!

After a string of near misses, Anderson finally won a ‘Big One’, when he was crowned 2011 Premier League Champion on a dramatic night at Wembley.

  • James Wade

James Wade is the second most successful player in the history of the Professional Darts Corporation.

And the young man deserves all the credit in the world, after courageously battling depression and publically revealing his health issues.

His fight against depression has won him a lot of new fans around the world and in the summer of 2011, he was rewarded with a 7th ‘Major’ PDC title, when he won the UK Open Finals at Bolton for a second time.

  • Kevin Painter

He is the ultimate darts professional!

And after 20 years, ‘The Artist’ has finally got his just reward after winning his first TV ‘Major’ and clinching a prized place in the 2012 Premier League.

After many near misses – notably the 2004 World Championship Final – Painter finally got his hands on major silverware when he won the Players Championship Finals in Doncaster in December 2011.

  • Terry Jenkins

It has become one of the most frustrating darting stories of recent years. But Terry Jenkins still believes he is destined to win a Darts ‘Major’ and Unicorn certainly believes he has the ability to bury the hoodoo once and for all.

One of the most popular players on the PDC circuit but he is still left chasing a dream – to win one of the big tournaments – an ambition which has eluded him for so long.

In January, he won the first Pro Tour event of the year – beating Mark Dudbridge in the final of the prestigious Bobby Bourn Players Championship event in Doncaster.

  • Wez Newton

Wez Newton deserves all the success that comes his way!

And if darting rewards and awards handed out for hard work, Newton wouldn’t be far away in every category!

‘The Warrior’ is a battler and is destined to win one of the sports ‘Major’ titles...but the ultimate dream darting date has finally arrived for Newton.

A place in the 2013 Premier League....Newton was handed a wildcard in the new-look revamped 10 player event – a richly deserved honour for one of the good guys in the world of darts.
